i couldnt find anything myself so anything helpsI would like to become a sniper in the marine corps any websites or advice would help?
This isn't a mail order position where you apply on line. First, you need to show what you've got, first by showing you are a top, expert rifleman. Next, you need to survive boot camp and to even graduate from boot camp. Sniper school very often is offered to seasoned veterans who have already done time in combat, and have shown they have the mettle to be a sniper.
So, for you it's back to basics. earn your way into sniper school, and someday you will be able to make the claim that you are a US Marine Corps sniper !I would like to become a sniper in the marine corps any websites or advice would help?
Just like the Army...you will ned to enlist as an Infantryman then after several years of stellar Infantry service in a Battalion you may be selected for your Battalions Scout Sniper Platoon at which time you may then be selected to attend Sniper School. The competition is stiff and you will need a decent ASVAB score (the Scout Platoon will look for this because sniper school is tough academically) maxed out PT test scores and consistently score Expert in marksmanship qualifications.
This is not something you ';enlist'; for...
Another possibility is to be a freelance, mercenary sniper. If you give yourself good credentials as a sniper you can be on payroll but not part of any division. I met a guy from Morocco who is paid by the US army as a freelance sniper in Iraq.
Just talk to a recruiter. They know what the job is and they can tell you how long it takes to become a sniper or whatever. If the recruiter is pressuring you, just leave.
You might want to worry about becoming a marine first.
