For poses, the best way to start is to learn ';gesture drawing';. You'll need models, paper, and a pencil or pen.


Go somewhere that there are people and begin practice. As a last resort, you could practice off of a television, perhaps while watching a movie you like.


Generally, when gesture drawing, your pencil never leaves the paper and you rarely look at what you are drawing. Gestures are drawn very quickly, less than three minutes (or even 10 seconds), so you could easily do more than a dozen within an hour.


When drawing poses, it's better to err on the side of exagerrating a pose.
