Does anyone have any step my step advice/instructions or really good math websites for algebra?

I'm dying here trying to do my homework. Solving for Y is really getting me because that seems to be the base for almost everything. Please I just need really good basic instruction on what to do. That is my main problem and if anyone knows how to do problem solving equations using the substitution method would be so great. I have a test next Wed and I have to pass in order to pass the class. however, you can go to the Public Library and bring home math tutor videos! The teacher on them walks you through it step by step. I own my own copy of Algebra I . It really helps to watch someone solve it and he explains it really well...plus you can always rewind and watch it again. It got me through Algebra I class in college.
