singapore is a small country but densly populated . Its best if you find a place closer to your work place in order cut out travelling time and beat the humidity and heat and congestion.

There are many places to live but that would depend on your requirements and budget.

Personally I will try live away from the city and its too congested and very expensive.I am moving to singapore, could someone help with websites for estate agents, or advice on what area to live?

good luck for your hunt!
This website provides lot of information about moving to Singapore. Online property listing is available also. Hope you enjoy your stay in Singapore!
I lived in Singapore for 4 months and most everything is quite close so something central would be best. Being near Orchard Road is splendid if you like shopping (endless!) and people watching. Stay away from the outer regions like Jurong. It's out in the boonies. Stay away from Geylan which is the red light district. Enjoy your stay!
we moved here in June, we had been advised to live Orchard Road area so started looking there, but we decided we didn't want to live right in a busy busy busy place with hustle and bustle all around you. We then came out to East Coast Park area and found a fabulous place on Tanjong Rhu Road, our apartment overlooks the river, we can walk along the riverside, there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance and we are a 5/10 minute drive from the park itself. Some people advise not to live ';so far out'; but here there are shuttle buses, normal buses and taxis galore.

We used Propnex and a really nice man called Michael

Where are you moving from?
