Any websites that offer free advice for cat with fear & aggressive & manipulative issues??

cat has issues that I need to have solved, don't want to give her to the pound, no one will take her. She is overly fearful %26amp; aggressive. She stares at me most of the time, doesn't want to play, when she does play she eventually gets scared of me %26amp; hisses %26amp; growls %26amp; hides. I don't/can't disipline her, she just gets more angry. I didnt raise her, she was my friends ex finaces cat. his cat is normal, hers not so. She wasn't abused, but his ex was a negative, bitchy person, who punished her by making her sit on her lap for hours at a time. she also made it known to the cat that it was hers, %26amp; no one elses. The only time the cat is nice to me is when i'm laying down, then she will lay on me %26amp; purr. Her moods are more extreme then most cats, one minute shes purring the next she will glare at me, %26amp; growl, its creepy. But she isnt mean to my friend who lives with her to. It's very hard to live with her, I need advice, please help? Any animal behavioral sites that help you for free?Any websites that offer free advice for cat with fear %26amp; aggressive %26amp; manipulative issues??
This is a problem that needs individual attention. I don't think you will get much from a website except generalities (which is not a bad thing).

There are the options of using an Animal Communicator (they charge about $100 a hour) and I highly recommend that if you can swing it. Remember you may be living with this cat for the next ten years - even one session can do wonders. It's not like you have to go into family counseling for many years.

The other option is using flower essences with her. You can go to http://www.spiritessence.com and read about their use with cats. Dr. Jean Hovfe might even suggest one to use with her if you email her at the site. I don't quite get the picture here with this cat - age, how long she has been with you etc. Cats are slow to change and make adjustments.

The flower essence combinations are only $20 mailed to you from CO. You just shake the bottle well and put three to four drops on the cat's fur between her ears four or five times a day. Used intensely for 10 days or two weeks should effect a positive change in the cat.

There are 38 Bach flower essences available in health food stores and pharmacies. Each one has an indication for behavior issues. Choosing the right one for the cat takes some individual diagnosis. That's why I like Dr. Hovfe's combinations - you get a lot of bang for your buck. You can get a ';hit'; with something in them. What isn't pertinent to the problem will just be ignored ande won't harm the cat in any way.

The fact that she lies on you and purrs is an excellent indication you are doing well with her.

I had a cat who for TWO years only came to me when I was lying under the covers on my bed! That's how scared she was of me. Then she would come to sit by me on the couch to be petted.Any websites that offer free advice for cat with fear %26amp; aggressive %26amp; manipulative issues??
buy some feliway and every positive interaction she gives you then give her a favourite treat. reward positive behaviour and ignore negative she will eventually learn you are a very nice person. also make sure you are the only one who feeds her and changes tray etc do the nice thing for and she will learn you will not force her to do anything she doesn't want to do. also speak to her vet about this
